Extensions, renovations and metal roofing across Canberra. A-Class licensed, which means there's no cap on what he can build.
Quality workmanship. Attention to detail. Customer satisfaction. Competitive pricing. You have read it on every site you have opened this week, and none of it helps, because none of it can be checked.
Here is what can be checked. What class of licence he holds, and therefore what size job he is legally allowed to take. Whether the insurance and the home warranty are real. Whether he has actually built the thing you are asking him to build. All of that is on this site with numbers attached, and you are welcome to go and verify any of it.
Adding a room, second storey additions, and whole-house renovations on older Canberra homes. The biggest part of what he does, and the work where getting the brickwork, the roofline and the floor levels right is the difference between a house that grew and a house with a box on the back.
Roof replacement, re-pitching low and flat roofs that never had enough fall, and skylights done as part of the job. More on roofing
Taking an ageing concrete tile roof off and putting Colorbond on, so the re-pointing cycle stops. More on conversions
Secondary residences built to the ACT rules. Dale has one at his own place with a tenant in it, so the questions about what it costs to run and what it rents for get answered firsthand. More on granny flats
Studios, workshops, home offices and garages. More on outbuildings
The ACT grades builders' licences, and A-Class is the unrestricted one. No cap on the value of the job. A lot of builders hold a restricted licence, which is perfectly fine until the job you want goes past what they are allowed to build, and you find that out late.
PLACEHOLDER. Photos and a finished job go here before launch.
No small repairs, no maintenance call-outs, no gutter cleaning, no one-off leak patches, no handyman work. He builds extensions, renovations, roofs, granny flats and outbuildings.
If you need a repair, a roof plumber or a handyman will do it faster and cheaper than a builder will. Saying so up front saves everybody a phone call.
Canberra only. Belconnen, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Woden Valley, Weston Creek, Molonglo and the inner suburbs. Dale doesn't take work in Queanbeyan or Jerrabomberra.
No. Substantial building work only. It is the honest answer and it saves you the wait for a quote that was never coming.
ACT A-Class builder's licence 2012B14A, which is the unrestricted class, plus NSW licence 314125C, $20 million public liability, QBE Home Warranty insurance and MBA ACT membership. The numbers are there so you can check them.
Dale. He quotes the job and he runs the job. There is no sales rep handing you over to someone else once you have signed.
Yes. Drawings, the certifier, development approval and building approval where they apply.
Have a talk to Dale about what you are planning and find out whether it stacks up before you spend anything.
He'll come and look at it, and you'll get a real figure in writing. If it's not a job he should be doing, he'll say so.
